Business Micros Launches New CE Marking Module At Fit Show

Posted on 03 April 2013

Business Micros is responding to the impact of the forthcoming CE marking legislation by adding a new CE marking module to its EvoNet business management software.

Customers using the core EvoNet software can now manage all the requirements of CE marking and even print out the labels for their business using Business Micros’ powerful, paperfree software solution.

The company is showing the new module on its two stands at the FIT show – giving visitors real time demonstrations of how they can achieve the product traceability required by the CE marking legislation.

Both stands feature barcode scan points so that visitors can see how EvoNet allows them to log all the information about every product as it is manufactured and then manage that information as the product passes around the factory and through quality control.

Graeme Bailey, Managing Director of Business Micros, explains:  “Our team are running live demos of the CE marking module as they move between our two stands so that customers can see exactly how the system could work in their factory.  Lots of customers are worried about the impact of CE marking but in fact we will show that a simple addition to their EvoNet software package can be all they need.”

Business Micros says that the need to comply with CE marking is likely to encourage many customers already running its Evolution software to add the EvoNet business management software to their package.

Graeme adds:  “Customers may decide that they need the CE marking module to comply with the new legislation but in fact, investing in EvoNet will bring much more substantial benefits to their business any way and certainly justify their investment.

“It offers complete document scanning to create a paperfree factory, it contains a powerful CRM system for managing sales and gives access to instant management reports which allow managers to analyse business performance quickly and accurately.

“CE Marking may seem like a hurdle to overcome but in fact, it could be a springboard for improving overall business performance.”
