Rapid PVC-U Praises Business Micros

Business Micros has been commended for the work it has carried out at Rapid PVC-U throughout its recent expansion and investment programme.

The Doncaster based fabricator, which produces more than 1100 frames per week, is nearing the end of a £600,000 investment programme which has seen its factory extended and new automated welding and cutting centres installed.

During that time, Managing Director John Duggan has been impressed with the whole Business Micros team – from the sales and installation team who have visited the factory to the support staff who answer the phone to solve queries.

He says:  “Business Micros have been with us every step of the way and have timed and coordinated their software programme perfectly with our overall expansion.  They have set up all the required machine links promptly and efficiently and are already planning and preparing for the final phase, which will be a new EDI link to our glass suppliers Glass Systems in Swansea so that we can place online orders automatically.”

Rapid PVC-U has been a Business Micros customer since it was established in 2009.  John Duggan had used the software at his previous company and liked the products and the support which comes with them.

Starting out with Business Micros’ Evolution processing software, Rapid PVC-U has since added EvoWeb online ordering and tracking, EvoSatellite remote pricing and most recently EvoNet production and dispatch planning with management reporting.

It has bar code scanning stations in place at cutting, beading and dispatch locations in its factory and is using the software to move towards a paperless operation.   

John Duggan adds: “Our focus is on quality and accuracy.  We’ve built our reputation in the retail and new build sectors on our ability to get things right first time, and having the right software linked to our machines and managing so many of our processes has been an important part of that.

“Evolution, EvoWeb and EvoSatellite help us to run a really efficient, customer focused operation and last year’s investment in EvoNet with a number of bespoke modules has given us an important added dimension in terms of management reporting and future planning.

“Throughout our partnership with them, Business Micros have worked hard to understand how we operate and how we need the software to help us achieve our objectives.  They are always available to help and always return calls when they say they will.
