Business Micros Signs Indian Distribution Deal

Business Micros has signed an exclusive distribution agreement which will see its Evolution software being supplied to the Indian market for the first time.

It has appointed D sign Design, a Maharashtra based company, to market the Evolution product throughout India. 

The team from D sign Design, led by Business Development Manager Pravin Padale, spent a week with Business Micros recently to finalise the deal and to discuss specific issues relevant to the fast growing Indian market.

Graeme Bailey, Managing Director, says:  “D sign Design approached Business Micros earlier this year to discuss the possibilities for distributing Evolution inIndiaand we were very impressed with their experience and level of expertise.

“They had identified a need in the Indian market for a more advanced software package than was currently available and chose Business Micros as their preferred supplier because of our status and reputation as the number one fenestration software company in theUK. 

“Pravin has been involved with the PVC-U systems industry in India for many years and his team has extensive manufacturing and design expertise which we believe will be very valuable in talking to systems companies and to both existing and start up fabricators.

"There are just 200 PVC-U fabricators in India at the moment but that number is predicted to double year on year with substantial growth in both the new build and replacement markets, so we feel that the timing is right for us to introduce Evolution to that market.”

Previously, Business Micros has managed its overseas expansion directly, setting up its own office inAustraliafor example and supplying customers direct in Asia andSouth America.

However, Graeme says that the unique demands of the Indian market, coupled with the vast potential, meant that strategically the company felt it was important to have an experienced partner inIndiawith knowledge of the market and the ability to target and support customers directly.

Business Micros is tailoring the standard Evolution software for the Indian market to take into account issues such as wind loading and the use of integrated fly screens and is providing technical support via its programming teams in theUK.

Graeme adds: “In the short term, we seeIndiaas the expanding market with the greatest potential for growth in PVC-U – even ahead ofChina.  The recent FensterbauIndiaevent demonstrated that, and we are very excited to be entering the market at such a key point in its development.”

Business Micros expects to be able to announce details of the first D sign Design Evolution installation agreements shortly.
