Business Micros is continuing its push overseas with the announcement that it is exhibiting at the Australian Window Association’s annual exhibition on the Gold Coast in September.

Overseas Development Manager Nick Bailey will be joined by Managing Director Graeme Bailey and Dean Hodges, Managing Director of Business Micros (Aluminium), as the team exhibits both the Evolution PVC-U and LogiKal aluminium software platforms to fabricators down under.

Business Micros is enjoying considerable success in Australia and already has 25% of the PVC-U market there. Nick Bailey has visited the country several times over the past year and has built valuable relationships with both systems companies and hardware suppliers.

He says: “The market for PVC-U in Australia is just starting to grow – as legislation and rising energy costs encourage home owners to choose more energy efficient solutions.

“Up until now, the market has been dominated by aluminium and has been largely driven by price – probably reminiscent of the UK in the early 1980s. Now though, the market is waking up to the benefits of PVC-U and an increasing number of fabricators are starting to manufacture PVC-U either in stand-alone operations or alongside aluminium.

“At the moment, many of these are making very simple sliding windows and doors with none of the complicated configurations we see in the UK but there is huge potential for growth – particularly in those areas of the country with a European type climate.

“Business Micros wants to be a part of that growth and the investment we’ve already made in an office in Brisbane, regular customer visits, dedicated marketing and now the attendance at this exhibition shows that we are committed to our strategy.

“Personally, I am very excited about the exhibition because it will give us a chance to get even closer to the market, to network with key industry figures and of course to meet lots of existing and potential customers.”

The AUSFENEX exhibition is Australia’s own Glassex, with more than 30 manufacturers and suppliers coming together to showcase new products and ideas. Held at Jupiter’s Casino on the Gold Coast, it is the leading event for the fenestration industry across the region.
