Midland Window Group (MWG) has recently changed over to EvoNet, the business management software tool from Business Micros, in order to improve customer service and increase efficiency. It also allows customers to price their own windows and doors.

MWG is one of the UK’s fastest growing fabricators. The Coventry-based company manufactures both PVCu and aluminium products for the trade and commercial markets.

EvoNet was chosen because it meets all of the administrative needs of a modern window fabrication business. It stores and generates information and gives access to real-time data at the touch of a button.

The software encompasses a number of key elements which were important to MWG including: order book management, production control, purchasing, customer relationship management, scheduling and dispatch. It also includes a barcode scanning module to enable tracking of every item around the factory.

Managing Director Manj Sanghera says: “MWG has reached the size where it needed a more sophisticated and integrated level of information and control. We chose EvoNet because it can produce customisable management reports for key areas of our business such as lead analysis, order value and profitability analysis, complaint cost summary, factory completion and remake analysis.”

He continues: “EvoNet gives us complete control of the factory from purchasing to despatch and gives us access to instant status updates on any aspect of our business’ performance. It has allowed us to plan more effectively in both the short and medium term. It’s already had a major influence on how we manage our business and that will certainly benefit all of our customers.”
