Business Micros continues to impress in the software sector with sales up 16% on 2004 and a record sixth successive year of growth.
Graeme Bailey, the MD, believes the company's performance at a time when many others in the industry are finding things tough is testament not only to the quality of its software packages but also to the fact that fabricators are increasingly able to justify investment in new software with quantifiable paybak figures.

New customers investing in the Evonet module for the Evolution system for example enables customers to interrogate the system from any authorised PC in order to produce fast and accurate management reports say they expect to achieve payback on the module in around 12-18 months.

He says: "We now have more than 3200 customers across the UK and Ireland and can justifiably claim to be the leading software supplier in the industry. We have 36 staff, three regional offices in Dumfries, Warrington and Gloucester and our own software programming team who are developing new products all the time.
