After 40 years, we’re incredibly proud of the reputation we’ve built in this industry for doing things right. Ours is a business which believes in providing great service, great products and acting ethically and with integrity at all times.
From being one of the biggest supporters of the industry’s GM Fundraising charity to becoming a main sponsor of the G-Awards, we’ve also always demonstrated a genuine commitment to giving back.
If you want to know what really makes Business Micros the company it is though, you just have to look at the culture here and the values of so many of our team who work incredibly hard to make a difference in the local communities where we’re based.
In our Penpont office, for instance, our Operations Manager Jude Knowles is a driving force behind the Moniaive Initiative which helps to support a whole raft of ambitious projects in this small local village. This includes turning a disused office into a thriving community shop and securing funding to buy a house in the village which can be converted into a home suitable for assisted living.
One of our programmers, Tim Simmonds, also sits on the Penpont Community Council which organises the legendary Penpont gala and which we have just jointly funded to create a new play park, and, in a uniquely Scottish tradition, our support technician Robbie Logan regularly gives up his weekends to play the bagpipes at galas across the region.
As a business, we’re hugely supportive of all their individual efforts and are happy to help in any way we can – whether that’s printing gala programmes, giving them time off for meetings or just giving funding or sponsorship.
Obviously, none of the team seeks any recognition for what they do but we’re enormously proud of their efforts so we’ll be making sure that we spotlight some of their amazing work over the coming months. There are some brilliant stories to be told and we will be starting to share these over the coming months..!
