Business Micros is continuing its 40 year celebrations with a focus on the staff behind the scenes who have been responsible for so much of its success over the years.

One of the most familiar voices for customers is Louise Anderson who has been in charge of admin at the company’s Newton Le Willows sales and installation centre for more than 10 years.

Louise is the person who customers speak to when they are renewing their support contracts and she’s also responsible for scheduling the company’s team of engineers so that customers know exactly who will be arriving on site to maintain or install their software and when.

All the emails sent to the generic sales@businessmicros.co.uk email address are picked up either by Louise or her part time colleague Ashley Bailey too, so she’s always in touch with exactly what is happening with every customer and with suppliers and machinery companies too.

Louise’s role is about much more than admin though. She is hugely knowledgeable about Business Micros’ products and likes to make regular visits to all the main profile companies to stay up to date with new product introductions which will have an impact on customers’ software.

For her, the pace of change in the industry has really increased since she joined the company in 2007. She said: “Everyone is diversifying at an incredible rate now and the number of orders we get in for product additions has probably doubled over recent years. Nn two customers are ever the same anymore and one of the reasons I enjoy the job so much is that there’s always so much variety.

“The other reason of course is that we are a family here at Business Micros. We all look out for each other just as you would look out for your own family and we spend lots of time together outside of work – whether that’s our famous Ladies Days events or our fundraising and charity challenges.”

As always, Louise will be on the Business Micros’ stand at the FIT Show, welcoming customers and helping them put a face to the voice they speak to so regularly on the phone.
