Our Managing Director Graeme Bailey is a member of the GM Fundraising team and has taken part in every single one of the charity’s epic charity cycle rides, culminating in last summer’s final event – From Russia With Hope.

This 2700 mile challenge started at the Russian border and took in 10 countries in 12 days as the team made their way through Scandinavia, northern Europe and France, all the way to the Hope House children’s hospice in Oswestry.

Fittingly, this last epic challenge ride raised the biggest total for Hope House of any of the seven rides which have taken place over the past 14 years – £208,891.72. We’d obviously like to say a really big thank you to all the colleagues, customers, friends and supporters who sponsored Graeme this time around or in any of the previous rides – it has always been hugely appreciated.

Graeme was amongst the team handing over the cheque to the Hope House children’s hospice recently, just in time for Christmas.

Next year, the GM Fundraising challenge is an all female one – Peak, Paddle, Pedal and it is hoped that this will help the charity reach the £2m fundraising milestone in its 25th anniversary year. More details are here www.gmfundraising.co.uk
